The Fuel EX 9 XT is a confident trail bike that lets you conquer any terrain with ease. Built on an Alpha NEXT Platinum Aluminum frame, it’s equipped with a FOX Factory suspension package offering 150mm of front and 145mm of rear travel for impressive performance on challenging terrain and flowing sections. The Shimano XT drivetrain guarantees reliable, mechanical shifting, while the Shimano XT M8200 4-piston disc brakes provide the necessary modulation and stopping power for tight situations.
Adapt, shred, repeat
Only you know which features make a trail bike perfect for you. That’s why the Fuel is available in three extensively customizable configurations. Choose either the all-rounder capabilities of the EX, the agile playfulness of the MX, or the plush downhill performance of the LX.
Adjustable progression
Do you want more bottoming resistance without changing the response to small bumps? Rotate the chip in the lower damper mount for a more progressive characteristic curve.
Integrated zero-stack headset
The zero-stack headset allows you to choose from countless aftermarket upgrade options to customize your cockpit, for example with a different steering angle or with anodized parts.
Storage compartment and accessory holders
Stow tools and other essential items in the downtube storage compartment – on both the aluminum and carbon Fuel models. And thanks to the convenient mounting points on the top tube, you can carry even more gear.
Fresh frame design
The Fuel’s new frame offers ample space for long-travel dropper seatposts, larger shocks, frame bags, and much more.
Active Braking Pivot
Active Braking Pivot allows our engineers to fine-tune how the suspension reacts independently to acceleration and braking forces. This gives you more confidence in critical situations.
A better method of aluminum production
In 2024, we began phasing out emissions-intensive aluminum from our production and replacing it with low-emission aluminum produced using renewable energy. By October 2025, nearly all of our aluminum bicycles – including this model – had been converted, resulting in a significant reduction in our carbon footprint.
