The Session 8 is a downhill mountain bike with a robust aluminum frame and a high pivot point suspension design, guaranteeing solid rear suspension performance, first-class traction and more speed even on the toughest runs.
Pure, unbridled speed
The Session’s high pivot point suspension design optimizes rear wheel movement, allowing it to move with the bumps rather than against them. On the trail, this translates to a smoother ride that maintains forward momentum and offers improved grip.
Reinvent the wheel
The Session comes standard with fast 29-inch wheels. Prefer something more playful and agile? Then you might like the mixed wheelset option with a 27.5-inch rear wheel — or even all 27.5-inch wheels?
Tuning depending on the trail
Thanks to Mino Link, the geometry and suspension of the Session can be adjusted, allowing you to set it up to be particularly progressive for racing and a bit more relaxed for the bike park.
Frame sizes according to reach
For downhill bikes, reach is more crucial for fit and ride quality than seat tube length. To help you find your ideal setup, we’ve based the Session frame sizes on reach.
Active Braking Pivot
Active Braking Pivot allows our engineers to fine-tune how the suspension reacts independently to acceleration and braking forces. This gives you more confidence in critical situations.
Variable chainstay length
The chainstay length, i.e., the rear center point, increases with the frame size, ensuring balanced weight distribution across all frame sizes. High-speed control and downhill fun for everyone.
A better method of aluminum production
In 2024, we began phasing out emissions-intensive aluminum from our production and replacing it with low-emission aluminum produced using renewable energy. By October 2025, nearly all of our aluminum bicycles – including this model – had been converted, resulting in a significant reduction in our carbon footprint.
